Ike’s Hook’em Early Program

Ike’s Hook’em Early Kids Fishing Event provides up to 100 kids with an opportunity to fish at a local lake. The Ike Foundation stocks a local lake with bass, catfish, and bluegill for the event and to create a healthy fishery for many years to come. At this free event, we give each child their own Flambeau tackle box, tackle, and instruction so they can continue fishing.  We also provide children in need of their own fishing rod with their own Abu Garcia Ike Dude Combo rod and reel. Our amazing volunteers log each child’s catch and prizes are awarded at the end.

The Ike Foundation’s Hook ‘Em Early Kids Fishing Event & Bassmaster Classic

The recent Ike’s Hook’em Early Kids Fishing Event, sponsored by Lowrance, was an incredible success at Veterans Park Pond in Jenks, OK. With almost 100 kids and their families in attendance, the day was filled with excitement as young anglers reeled in various fish species, including bass, trout, bluegill, and even a turtle. Families joined forces with the Ike Foundation team to clean up the area, showcasing their commitment to conservation. Special thanks to sponsors like Abu Garcia, Flambeau, AFTCO, Wanglers Worms, and The Bass University for their generous support.
