On Saturday, June 21st, The Ike Foundation hosted its annual Free Family Fun Fest at the beautiful Northeast Community Park. With tremendous support from Cecil County Tourism, which helped ensure everything ran seamlessly, the day was a huge success!
We welcomed two groups of 50 kids for hands-on outdoor fun. Each session included fishing, engaging educational booths from partners like Hoffman’s Exterminating, the Northeast Police Department, ASA – Keep America Fishing, and a fascinating snakehead dissection led by the Maryland DNR. Kids also got creative making bracelets with The Ike Foundation and enjoyed face painting.
A delicious lunch from On A Roll and a refreshing treat from Rita’s rounded out the day. Before heading home, each child received a Flambeau tackle box and a brand new fishing rod, generously donated by Integrity Realtor.
